Access to and the use of this website is provided globally by Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited based on the terms set out below.
The set Terms and Conditions may be altered on a regular basis without prior notice and therefore should be checked regularly. Use of this website is deemed as acceptance of the set terms. The placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
We treat each order for goods on our website as an offer by you to purchase goods required subject to these terms and conditions. It is important to note that additional terms and conditions may apply such as special offer prices, delivery charges/times, etc. Rarely, prices displayed in our stores may differ from prices quoted on our website, usually due to an in-store sale of ex-display stock, aged-stock clearance, special offers or similar.
- Description of Goods
All images, descriptions and detailed specifications advertised on our website are for the purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods only. Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturer’s brochures, websites or promotional materials.
Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited intend to have accurate and up-to-date information always published on our website. However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy or reliability of this information.
- Prices and Payment
Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited reserves the right to make adjustments to the listed price to take account of any price changes from suppliers, to allow for any imposed taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price is published incorrectly, regardless weather or not the order has been confirmed. In such an event, a member of staff will contact the customer through the details provided in the check-out stage of purchasing, where the customer will have the option to cancel the order, continue the order at the new price or replace the item for a different item.
All prices listed on our website are priced in euro and are inclusive of value added tax (VAT) unless otherwise stated. All orders are subject to delivery charges which are indicated at the time of placing an order.
- Website Use and Security – Payment Handling
We use Stripe Payments for all online transactions. They provide a secure and reliable payment processing service which is approved and certified by many financial institutions. Stripe Payments have integrated several technological layers to ensure confidentiality and to ensure the integrity of information. When in transit, all information is encrypted for security purposes. Stripe Payments have received the Account Information Security certification by Visa and are registered with the Data Protection Commissioner as a data processor. Cardholder information is encrypted to a high standard and is not displayed to Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited.
Our online shop accepts most major credit and debit cards including Visa and Mastercard. When placing an order, it is up to the customer to provide us with the exact billing address, telephone number and email address, which matches the information your bank has on file for you. Incorrect information can cause a delay in processing your order
- Acceptance of Order
Any email or other form of acknowledgement of order sent by Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited is only an acknowledgement and does not constitute legal acceptance by us of your order.
The acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between the customer and Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited only occurs once the order has been dispatched which can only occur once full payment has been received. Should we under any circumstances not be able to accept your order, a member of staff will get in contact with you via the information provided at checkout to notify you of this decision. A full refund will then be issued to the customer.
Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited reserve the right to not supply good and to cancel an order in the event of a pricing error or omission.
- Availability of Goods
All products listed on our website are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any stage without prior notice. If for any reason, we do not supply the goods ordered, the customer will be refunded fully for the goods.
It is highly-unlikely that goods are still in-stock on our website but not in-stock in store. In the event that this occurs, the customer will be contacted and full refunded for the goods not in stock. Where possible, the customer will be given the opportunity to wait until the goods are back in stock to receive them.
- Delivery
All shipping, packaging and other carriage related charges are added at checkout. We aim to deliver orders within the Republic of Ireland within 1-2 working days, occasionally taking up to 5 working days. Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited does not take responsibility for delays in the delivery of goods and are not responsible for losses, costs, damages, additional charges or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of goods.
Once the parcel has been delivered to the customer’s address, Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited no longer take any responsibility for the goods. Please refer to our Returns Policy regarding time limitations for notification of claims for damaged, un-wanted or un-fit for purpose goods received. This policy is available at the checkout on our online shop.
- Errors and Omissions
Every effort is made to ensure that information provided on our website is accurate and up to date. We will promptly correct any errors found on our website that are brought to our attention.

- Retention of Goods
All goods remain property of Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited until payment has been received in full.
