Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited are committed to continuously providing a best-in-class aftersales service to all customers. This service is backed up by providing efficient and reliable shipping services across the island of Ireland and further afield, as we know it is important to our customers to have spare parts as quick and easy as possible to avoid long periods of down time.
This Shipping Policy outlines the relevant terms and conditions with regards to the shipping of spare parts purchased both online and in-store, across our three branches.
- Delivery & Shipping Categories
To best optimise our shipping resources and to be as cost effective as possible for the end customer, we have developed separate Delivery & Shipping categories, based on parcel weight and size as well as shipping location:

The above prices are invoiced in euro and are inclusive of VAT. Please note that these prices are approximate and are subject to change without prior notice.
Additional charges may become present due to an items weight, shape or value meaning the shipment will need enhanced insurance coverage. Should these additional charges apply to your shipment, we will contact you with a quote for the additional charges from the courier where you will then have the option to continue with your order following payment of these charges or receive a full refund.

- Delivery Times
Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited pride themselves on their established fast delivery process. Orders placed online are typically processed within 1-2 working days (Monday-Friday, excluding public holidays). For large quantity orders, please allow for approximately 3-5 working days to be processed.
For all orders that fall under shipping classes 1 and 2 that are placed before 1pm, we will do our very best to have the order with the relevant courier on the same day.
- Delivery Track and Trace
Where possible, once an order has been placed and has left our facility, the courier will contact the customer to notify them of the shipment and to provide a tracking reference number. This tracking number can be checked on a generic parcel tracking website or on the specific courier’s website:

- Lost or Damaged Packages
Gordon Hegarty & Sons Limited only use highly reliable and reputable couriers as outlined in section 1 above. In the event of your package not arriving, please contact the relevant courier with your parcel tracking number. We will do our best to assist in the relocating of the lost parcel however, this matter sometimes goes beyond our control.
If your parcel arrives but the package is visibly damaged, please inspect the contents carefully before accepting/signing for the parcel. If both the package and contents are damaged, please refuse the delivery on these grounds and the courier will return the parcel to us. Once we receive the parcel, we will contact you and continue as we see fit in the case.

- Shipping Address
Please ensure to provide a full correct shipping address, including Eircode or Post Code where possible. Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited take no responsibility for parcels sent to incorrect addresses. If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrectly provided shipping address, an additional shipping fee may be applied.
- International Shipping & Customs Charges
As noted in section 1, international shipping can be arranged for customers by prior agreement. When items are imported into another country, an additional customs charge may be applied which is calculated by the specific tariff rate. Gordon Hegarty and Sons Limited will never apply customs fees to the final invoice. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay for additional customs fees which is controlled by the customer’s local customs authority.
Where a customer fails to pay the relevant customs fees and the goods are returned to us, any additional costs to return the goods to us as well as relevant customs duties, etc. will be subtracted from the final invoice along with a 25% handling charge of the total price of the original final invoice before issuing a refund for the goods.
